'Rubella' is the classic winter‑interest Skimmia: a compact evergreen with glossy leaves and showy deep red buds from autumn through winter that open to fragrant creamy‑white flowers in spring. As a male clone it is most often used to provide spectacular bud colour and to pollinate nearby female plants.
